Odhran McHugh and Lukas Doherty
Donegal and Finn Harps duo Odhran McHugh and Lukas Doherty were on the scoresheet as Northern Ireland Under-16s concluded their Four Nations campaign with a win over Estonia.
The Four Nations Tournament featured Finland, Iceland, Estonia and Northern Ireland, held over the past week at the Eerikkilä Sport and Outdoor Resort in southern Finland.
And it was the hosts who took an opening win over Northern Ireland, winning 5-2 on Tuesday as Kosmo Launiala hit four goals.
McHugh, from St Johnston, started that game, with Newtowncunningham native Doherty on the bench, but the roles were reversed on Wednesday as coach Kris Lindsay named a completely different team from that defeat as they took on Iceland, but again they fell to a late 3-2 defeat with the last kick of the game.
But the pair started their final match and both were on the scoresheet in the win over Estonia.
Elsewhere, Jamie O’Donnell was in action for the Republic of Ireland Under-16s for two games against Poland.
Jason Donohue’s side won the first game against the hosts 1-0 on Monday in Żary, but they were defeated 3-2 in the second encounter at Szprotawa on Thursday.
Buncrana man O’Donnell, who plays for Derry City underage, signing for the Candystripes last year from Cockhill Celtic, started the second game, playing an hour.
