Charlie Bonner has received a first call-up for the new Republic of Ireland Under-15 squad ahead of a double header against Spain.

A Finn Harps Under-15 player, Bonner came through the ranks at Bonagee United and Keadue Rovers before. Bonner also played for the Harps Under-14s this year.

The 2011-born team will make their debuts in an Ireland jersey on Tuesday, October 28, before facing the same opposition two days later, with both games taking place at the Albir Garden Resort.

All 20 players selected by Head Coach Jason Donohue are from the EA SPORTS League of Ireland National Academy and were part of the FAI's National Pathways Programme this summer. In total, ten LOI clubs are represented.

Republic of Ireland Boys Under-15s squad

Goalkeepers: Tae Gun Lee (UCD), Adam Madejek (Galway United).

Defenders: Jack Barden (Waterford), Ben Elijah Senga (Cork City), Jaidee Foley (Cork City), Robert Fox Morgan (Shamrock Rovers), Kian Lee (Bohemians), Gearoid Moran (Shelbourne), Patrick Toth (Shamrock Rovers).

Midfielders: William Carney (Waterford), Jorunas Jakas (Shamrock Rovers), Mate Isakadze (Shamrock Rovers), Fionnan O’Snodaigh (Bray Wanderers), Harry Rehill (Shamrock Rovers).

Forwards: Charlie Bonner (Finn Harps),  Ronan Keating (Galway United), Jack Magill (Bohemians), Fionn McCormack Crowe (Athlone Town), Nathan Power (Waterford), Destiny Okharedia (Cork City).
