Donegal and Finn Harps trio start on the bench for Under-17 World Cup opener

Colin O’Brien has named his Republic of Ireland side for their opening game at the 2025 Under-17 Qatar World Cup, with three Donegal men on the bench.

The young boys in green begin their campaign today in Doha against Panama at 12.30pm Irish time, with the game being televised live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player.

All three Donegal and Finn Harps men start on the bench.

The Donegal and Finn Harps trio of Milford midfielder Gavin McAteer, Donegal Town defender Josh Cullen and Ballyshannon goalkeeper Corey Cummins-Sheridan are all on the bench for the side.

Ireland face Uzbekistan on Saturday, November 8 at 15.45pm before their final Group J game against Paraguay on November 11 at 13.30pm, both games Irish time.
