For Head Coach Tom Elmes and the support staff, this was a very encouraging display from a squad of players working together for the first time and it points to a very promising future for all involved.
Ireland face Spain in La Nucia on Thursday at 11am and they will conclude their tournament against Norway on Sunday, back at the Albir Garden Resort at 11am.
