Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair’s Under-20 ladies reached the final of the FAI Schools Senior B National Cup on Tuesday.
The Donegal side had a poor start against their Glenamaddy opponents in Ray McSharry Park as the Galway side took the lead after three minutes through Ruby McGuire.
But they wasted no time in finding an equaliser, Maria Ní Ghallchóir replying on the fifth minute.

Ní Ghallchóir hit a second on the half-hour mark, not long after being denied by a great save from Aisling Gilligan, as the Ulster champions led 2-1 at the break.
McGuire hit the post just on the hour mark for the Connacht champions, but the Gaoth Dobhair school held on to reach the final.
They will play the winners of St. Peter’s Community School, Passage West and Gaelcholáiste Chill Dara in the All-Ireland final, with that semi-final fixed for Thursday, January 15.
