The game was switched to Swilly Park due to a waterlogged Moyle View Park and Milford got off to a dream start when CoreyLee McConigley scored from 10 yards, from a Cathal McGettigan cross.  Both teams were reduced to 10 men at the start of 2nd half with Jude Patton picking up a second yellow for a foul on Conor McLaughlin after 5 minutes and 10 minutes later Niall Murray picked up his second yellow for kicking the ball away. Glencar Inn Saturday Division 1

Kildrum Tigers  2-1 Drumbar FC

Kildrum maintained their position at the top of the table with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Drumbar in an entertaining contest.

The hosts took the lead through Conor Crosson, who rose highest to power home a header after a brilliant delivery from Aaron O’Donnell. Kildrum continued to press and were rewarded with a second goal when Conor Clarke showed great determination to charge down the Drumbar goalkeeper. His block fell kindly back to him, and he made no mistake in finishing to double Kildrum’s advantage.

Drumbar pulled a goal back in the closing minutes, setting up a nervy finish. However, Kildrum showed real composure and resilience to see out the game and secure all three points, keeping their place at the top of the table.

Letterkenny Rovers  1-1 St Catherines FC Reserves

Letterkenny Rovers and St. Catherine’s shared the points in an evenly contested game at Leckview Astro on a bright Saturday afternoon.

St. Catherine’s started stronger and threatened early through their lively winger Alex McBrearty, who twice created good openings — first finding Josh Cunningham, whose shot drifted wide, and later firing narrowly past the post himself. The visitors-maintained pressure with a curling free kick from Brandon McBrearty just missing the target.

Rovers gradually settled, with Kevin McGrath’s powerful strike straight at goalkeeper Michael Mullin marking their first real effort. Pavlo Shevaniuk and Jordan Nugent both went close as the hosts found their rhythm, but they fell behind on the 29th minute when Brandon McBrearty converted a free kick from the edge of the area, awarded after the Rovers keeper was deemed to have handled outside the box.

Rovers responded positively, with Adejide Alawiye (JD) and Nugent combining well on the break, though chances were limited before the interval.

The hosts came out much improved after the restart. JD set up Matthew Callan early on, only for Mullin to pull off a fine save. Chances followed for McGrath and Nugent, but the St. Catherine’s keeper repeatedly came to his side’s rescue with commanding work under high balls.

Rovers’ persistence was finally rewarded on the 76th minute when JD and Volodymyr Kovalchuk combined down the left, McGrath was fouled in the box, and Nugent made no mistake from the penalty spot.

The home side pushed for a winner in the closing stages, with long-range efforts from David O’Donnell and Reid Kelly testing Mullin, but St. Catherine’s held firm to secure a point.

Strand Rovers  7-1 Donegal Town

What a display of football today in Maghery. Loads of great chances for both sides in the first half with Donegal finding the net at only 10 minutes play when a mistake from the back line left Nikoden Domink free to slot it in past the keeper.

With half time fast approaching and none of Strands efforts getting over the line to this point, Daire Gallagher was on top form when he lobbed the keeper levelling the sides and setting us up for the second half.

Half time 1-1

Oisin McKelvey was next on the score sheet when he scored from outside the box with a low strike.20 minutes of the second half played and Shane O’Donnell showed he still has what it takes as he secured the 3rd goal of the day from a Damian McGowen corner that wasn’t cleared properly and the ball ping ponged about the box until it finally hit the back of the net. In the next 5 minutes Donegal was awarded a penalty that was expertly saved by our keeper Paddy McGarvey for this second penalty save this year!

After the missed penalty Strand secured their 4th goal and Mark Brennan’s 1st of the day as a throw in from Cianan McDaid flew over his head and he volleyed it in past the keeper. Up next on the score sheet was Conor Greene as Daire Gallagher passed the ball up the line to Conor running past the last defender to go one to one with young Donegal town keeper finishing it in the bottom corner.

Mark Brennan got his 2nd goal of the day as Daire Gallagher travelled with the ball up the line and squared it over to Brennan in the box to tap it in at the back stick. Oisin McKelvey was the last player to score on the day also getting his 2nd of the day from inside the box as he slotted the ball in past the keeper to round off an excellent performance from Strand Rovers at home this week getting back on track and claiming the 3 points

Brian McCormick Cup

Deele Harps  2-3 Drumoghill

Deele welcomed Drumoghill to Marty Duffy Park for this BMC Cup Fixture. Deele started well and took the lead as early as the 2nd minute when Scott Macbeth finished in style following a mazy run up the left. Drumoghill grew into the game and equalised on the 28th minute when a Josh Hay cross was finished with aplomb by Liam O'Donnell. Within 2 minutes the away side were in front, Karol McGinley capitalising on a poor clearance to score from the edge of the box. Deele drew level from the penalty spot on the 44th minute after Scott Macbeth was hauled down by Callum Crampsie. Tom Mullen made no mistake from the spot. Drumoghill regained the lead on the 58th minute when Ben Cassidy drew a save from McConnell and Liam O'Donnell was on hand to tap home from close range. That turned out to be the winning goal as Deele couldn't muster a comeback while Drumoghill looked dangerous on the break.
