Amber Barrett
Amber Barrett was on the scoresheet again as she helped her Strasbourg side to a 2-0 win over AS Saint-Etienne in the Première Ligue.
The Milford woman started and scored the second goal of the match as Strasbourg stayed sixth in the table, but moved just five points off of second-place side Nantes.
Elise Bonet opened the scoring in the match on the 59th minute, and Barrett doubled the lead for the visitors just four minutes later, with both goals coming from set pieces.

Saint Etienne got the chance of a lifeline in the 90th minute from the penalty spot, but Manon Wahl saved from Nadjma Ali Nadjim.
It’s a second goal in as many games for the 30-year-old Donegal woman, and a third goal in five games since she joined the French side, scoring the winner on her debut in the French Cup.
Barrett was also named in Carla Ward’s Republic of Ireland squad for next month, as the Girls in Green host France on March 3 in Tallaght Stadium, before taking on the Netherlands in Utrecht four days later.
