Finn Harps midfielder Max Hutchison could have a spell out of action after hs enforced departure from Friday night’s draw with Wexford.

Hutchison hobbled off in the first half after picking up an injury.

The 25-year-old Englishman, who first joined Harps in 2023, was replaced by Aaron McLaughlin in the 40th minute of the 1-1 draw at Finn Park.

“Max was carrying a knock from last week and he was another one we risked,” Harps manager Kevin McHugh told Donegal Live.

“It didn't really pay off, so Max, we'll assess him tomorrow and see what the damage is like, but it looks like Max will be out for a few weeks now.”

McHugh explained that new signing Perrault Tokam is also playing through the pain barrier at the minute.

The Harps boss said: “He is still carrying the knock, but he's still pushing through there for the last couple of games. We probably shouldn't have risked him, but we did and we got away with it.”

Harps earned a point when Daniel De Lacerda, elevated to the starting XI in place of Joel Bradley-Walsh, cancelled out an early Jake Doyle opener in Ballybofey.

McHugh said: “That's a huge positive for us, that we can flip players on and out, and they can go and perform.”
