There was to be no further fairytale story for Stephen McLaughlin and Mansfield Town as they lost out to Arsenal in the last 16 of the FA Cup.
McLaughlin, from the Isle of Doagh, started for the Stags as they took on the Premier League leaders and 14-time FA Cup winners, but they lost out 2-1 at the One Call Stadium.
Arsenal took the lead just before half-time through Noni Madueke, but half-time substitute Will Evans levelled the game up on 50 minutes.

However, Eberechi Eze scored the winner in the 66th minute as the League One side were put out of the competition.
Mansfield had already won as underdogs, with Nigel Clough’s side putting out Premier League side Burnley in the previous round, and Championship side Sheffield United.
Former Finn Harps and Derry City man McLaughlin is in his sixth season with Mansfield Town.
