Historic first Interprovincial schools title for Ulster

The Ulster Schools squad.

Ulster are the FAI Schools Interprovincial champions for the first time ever after they beat Connacht 3-2 in Dublin on Sunday.

The team, managed by Paul Browne and David O'Herlihy, knew that a win would be good enough to clinch the title.

And goals from Jeaic McKelvey, Sean McBride and Corrie-Lee Bogan gave them a memorable win.

Ulster had opened their tournament on Friday evening against Leinster and having trailed at one stage 2-0, they came back to win 3-2 with goals from Sean McBride, Adam O'Connor and a last minute winner from Connor Gormley.

On Saturday, Ulster drew 1-1 with Munster with Shane Blaney equalising close to the end.
