Fancy a flutter on Finn Harps to win the 2022 Airtricity League Premier Division title?
Well, if Ollie Horgan’s side come up trumps and land top spot come the end of the campaign, any punters who wager a bet on the Donegal club will certainly be celebrating.
Paddy Power bookmakers has the Finn Park outfit at odds of 225/1 to win the league!
Clubs are still finalising their squads ahead of the new season which kicks-off in three weeks time, but the bookmaker has already made it quite clear who they see as favourites for the silverware - and whose most likely to be battling against relegation.
Paddy Power has installed champions Shamrock Rovers as the 4/6 favourites before the first ball has even been kicked - with big spending Derry City second favourites at 4/1 followed by St. Patrick’s Athletic and Dundalk at 7/1.
At the other end of the scale UCD are hot favourites for the drop insofar as they are the rank outsiders for league honours, coming in as a 275/1 shot.
Drogheda United are quoted at 225/1, like Harps.
Certainly the pre-season consensus is that UCD, Harps and Drogheda will be bottom three.
Indeed, at the weekend, Paddy Power has UCD at 7/5 for the drop, with Drogheda and Harps at 5/2.

Soccer followers are well aware of the proverbial six-pointers and ‘must-win’ or ‘must-not-lose’ tags associated with some games. The bookies are generally not too far off the mark, so consider this: Harps last home game is against UCD, and their last away game is a trip to Drogheda United.
We haven’t even started yet; but those two games can - with some justification - already be pencilled in as ones that could well determine the fate of the aforementioned trio.
The other clubs are listed as follows for the title: Bohemians, 16/1; Sligo Rovers, 22/1; and Shelbourne, 33/1.
Meanwhile, Eoin Doyle of St. Patrick’s Athletic has been installed as the 5/1 favourite to be top scorer in the top flight.
Recent Harps signing Yoyo Mahdy is the best of the Harps’ squad, and is listed at 40/1 while also at that price is one of the Donegal club’s heroes from last season, Tunde Owolabi, who is now a St. Patrick’s Athletic player.

Other bookies are offering broadly similar odds.
