Ciara Grant and Amber Barrett have been named in the Republic of Ireland squad that will take part in the Pinatar Cup.

Letterkenny woman Grant, who recently signed for Rangers, and Milford native Barrett, who plays for  FC Köln, are in the 27-player squad named by Vera Pauw.

Grant returned to the Irish squad last year after a hiatus, her performances for Shelbourne earning her a recall.

The midfielder has since signed for Rangers and made her debut last weekend.

Barett netted FC Köln’s equaliser against 1899 Hoffenheim last Friday night and was named on the Frauen Bundesliga team of the week.

This year will be Ireland’s first appearance in the Pinatar Cup.

Ireland are guaranteed three games in Spain, starting on Wednesday, February 16th against Poland. The aim is to use these games to help with preparation for April’s 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier away to Sweden.
