The Raphoe Town squad from last season
Raphoe Town have announced Mike Kelly as the club’s new senior team manager.
Kelly takes over a squad that finished fourth in the Temple Domestic Appliance Division 1 last season.
Kelly, who has been involved at administrative level at the club in recent years, will be assisted by Paul Martin and Emmett Kelly.
“All three have a wealth of playing and coaching experience and are looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead,” Raphoe Town said in a statement.
The club recently moved into a new pitch at Drumineney on the outskirts of the town and has been growing schoolboys and schoolgirls football from its base.
Shane Dolan and David Craig oversaw senior operations of late with Kelly now taking the helm.
The club said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank Shane Dolan and David Craig for the tremendous work they put in over the past few seasons, including gaining promotion at the end of the covid-interrupted 2019/2020 season.
“Everyone at the club appreciates the huge amount of time and effort both men put in over the past few seasons with the team.”
