Tyler Toland played again on Sunday as Levante overcame Espanyol in a pre-season friendly.

Toland played the second half of a 2-1 win for Levante at Ciudad Deportiva.

Levante had to come from behind to win over

Cristina Baudet shot Espanyol into the lead on 19 minutes, but Alba Redondo levelled for Espanyol just after the half-hour mark.

In the 57th minute, Spanish International Redondo fired home with what proved the match winner after robbing possession back.

Toland was introduced as a half-time substitute having previously played in the 0-0 draw with Valencia.

Levante are on the countdown to their September 11 Primera División opener at home to Alavés.

Toland played with Celtic in the 2021/22 season, but departed the Hoops after winning the domestic Cup double in Scotland last season with Celtic.

Levante were sixth in the Primera Division last season and are now managed by former Birmingham City player Mehdi Nafti.
