Duo who joined on same day to lead Killybegs Coast Guard unit

A new Officer In Charge and Deputy Officer In Charge have been announced for the Killybegs Coast Guard unit.

Shane McCrudden and Ronan McFadden.

Two men who joined the Killybegs Coast Guard in 2010 have been appointed as the new leads for the unit.

Shane McCrudden has been confirmed as the new Officer in Charge of the Killybegs Coast Guard Station.

The new Deputy Officer for the station is Ronan McFadden.

A round of interviews were conducted by representatives from the Irish Coast Guard headquarters before the appointments were rubber-stamped.

Shane and Ronan joined the unit on the same day, October 10, 2010. Now, almost 13 years on, the stand side-by-side at its helm.
