A GoFundMe is open to anybody who was unable to take part in a charity walk today to raise money for the family of a woman who suffered serious injuries last year

In January 2022, Lorna Mahon was involved in a serious car accident near Laghey resulting in a life-changing brain injury. The Long Walk For Lorna has this morning left Sligo University Hospital, where Lorna worked as a nurse, for 50k walk to her home in Lurgan, Rossnowlagh.

“Lorna has been in hospital since the accident and we want to support her family by raising some money for Lorna's family,” Rev Stephen Richmond said on the fundraising page. “All money raised will be given to Lorna's husband Gary and three children Ryan, Harry and Ellie-Mae to help with longterm care costs.”
