Update: Motorcyclist (50s) hospitalised after Donegal Town crash

A stretch of the R267 road was closed by Gardai following the collision on Sunday afternoon.

Donegal Town road closed after crash between car and motorcycle

The road in Donegal was closed off by Gardai.

A motorcyclist was hospitalised following a road traffic accident in Donegal Town on Sunday afternoon.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, for treatment of his injuries.

The two-vehicle collision, involving a car and motorcycle, occurred at approximately 3.25pm.

Gardai and the emergency services attended the scene. The R267 road was closed for a time off the Drumlonagher roundabout towards Donegal Town.

No other injuries have been reported.

“Investigations ongoing,” a Garda spokesperson told Donegal Live.
