Bundoran to get three public art installations at roundabouts leading into the town

Drumacrin Roundabout is one of the three roundabouts leading into Bundoran that are set to benefit from the public artwork displays

Public artwork installation works are set to go ahead in Bundoran in the townlands of Magheracar, Drumacrin and Finner within the Donegal Municipal District, leading into the popular seaside town.

The three locations are located at the roundabouts on either side of the N15 Bundoran bypass while the third at Finner roundabout is located at the far end of the East End/Single Street and heading towards Ballyshannon on what was the old N15 Bundoran to Ballyshannon Road (R267) which leads onto Finner Camp.

Donegal County Council have said that they propose to carry out the following development of public artwork installations in the townland of Magheracar, Drumacrin & Finner in Bundoran in the Donegal Municipal District.

The proposed development will include the following works;

The installations of artwork in the centre of the Tullaghan Roundabout, Drumacrin Roundabout and Finner Roundabout, as well as associated ancillary works to include site clearance, service ducting and connection to services, landscaping, appropriate boundary treatment and development related signage.

The project is small scale, with six elements spreading over the wider Bundoran town and outskirts as well to include refurbishment of three laneways within the town as well as the installation of art pieces.

Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development is situated may be made in writing to The Co. Secretariat, Donegal County Council, Lifford, County Donegal, before 4.30pm on Friday October 27, 2023.
