A kindhearted Donegal couple have expressed their gratitude for those who helped in their fundraiser for North West Hospice.

Thirty years married, Janet and Pat Leonard from Ballintra decided to forgo all presents and donate to the Hospice instead. In all, they donated €1,935.85 with €200 more coming from Donegal Bay Macra Local Group. The presentations were made at the Bay Bush Bar in Ballintra.

“We would like to thank our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for helping them celebrate their 30th Wedding Anniversary recently,” Janet and Pat told DonegalLive. “All donations were in lieu of presents. Thank you all for your donations to North West Hospice and thanks also to Ash, Stephen and staff at the Bay Bush Bar in Ballinta.”
