Marion McGee recently launched ‘Our Side of the Story’ with all proceeds going to Ballyshannon Day Centre on College Street.
She presented a cheque for €1,000 to Thomas McGuinness, chairperson of Ballyshannon Day Centre, with committee members Denis McGuinness, JP McGee and Patrick McKenna.
“I never could have imagined it would be so popular and I am thrilled that our local community has had the opportunity to hear the stories and experiences of our senior citizens during the pandemic, including some of those who are no longer with us,” Marian said.
“We are delighted to present the Ballyshannon Day Centre with €1,000 this Christmas, and we hope to increase this funding with all remaining books on sale. I would like to extend a big thank you to those who contributed to the book and the launch. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year from Marion McGee and all at the Ballyshannon Day Centre.”
Our Side of the Story is available in Novel Idea, Ballyshannon Day Centre, Pearse O'Neills and other outlets.
