Ballyshannon Business Chamber have passed on their condolences following the passing of Fr Herbie Bromley, who they describe as a “gentleman.”

Fr. Herbie of Chapel Street, Ballyshannon passed away on Tuesday, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

“We are deeply saddened to hear of the sad passing of Fr Herbie Bromley,” Ballyshannon Business Chamber posted. “A great Ballyshannon man who loved to hear all that was happening around town, enjoyed his walks, meeting and having chats with everyone he met along the way. A gentleman.

“Ballyshannon’s loss is Heaven’s gain. Our sincere condolences to all his family. RIP Fr Herbie - your earthly work is done.”

Fr. Herbie will be reposing at his residence on Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm and Thursday from 12pm to 4pm. House private at all other times please. Removal on Thursday evening to St Patrick's Church for 7pm evening prayers to repose overnight.

Funeral mass on Friday morning at 11am, followed by burial afterwards in St. Joseph's Cemetery, The Rock, Ballyshannon. Fr. Herbie's funeral mass can be viewed online here. All enquiries to John McGee & Sons Funeral Home.
