The Magh Ene College Bundoran debating team
A big well done to Magh Ene College from Bundoran and their debating team of Julian Mickans, Darragh McGowan, Grainne Whelan, Shauna Reynolds, Conor Maxwell, and David Fitzgerald, on being placed 28 out of 167 teams in the recent 2024 Concern Debates.
Magh Ene College's position in the league table placed the school in the top 16% of schools in the country!
This year's effort was Magh Ene College's best finish ever at the Concern Debates, reaching the top 32 after a valiant effort against St. Andrews College, Booterstown.
Magh Ene College was one of only two schools from County Donegal to reach this standard in the competition.
Despite a strong showing, Magh Ene ultimately bowed out of the competition.
All the debaters from Magh Ene College were commended for their outstanding performances throughout the competition. Their dedication, critical thinking, and eloquence were on full display.
