Robert Lynch takes over the Tara Hotel from Johnny Paul and Breege McGuinness
The Tara Hotel in Killybegs is under new ownership, with John Paul and Breege McGuinness signing off.
Robert Lynch is the new owner and in a social media post said the plan is for further enhancements and the commitment to providing the same level of service for the local area.
They posted: “We're excited to announce a new chapter for The Tara Hotel! The hotel is now under new ownership, and we're looking forward to building upon its legacy while introducing some exciting changes in the coming months.
“We want to express our sincere gratitude to the previous owners Johnny Paul and Breege for 20 years of dedication and commitment to The Tara Hotel. We wish them both all the best in his well-deserved retirement.
“Stay tuned for updates on the renovations and five-star enhancements we have planned for The Tara Hotel. We're confident these changes will elevate your guest experience and make The Tara Hotel an even more welcoming destination.
“In the meantime, rest assured that The Tara Hotel remains open for business and will continue to function as a hotel which the new owner Robert Lynch believes that accommodation is essential to Killybegs and the area. We're committed to providing the same level of exceptional service you've come to expect. We look forward to welcoming you to The Tara Hotel.”
John Paul and Breege McGuinness said their goodbyes and said the hotel 'holds a special place in their hearts.'
They posted: "As the Tara Hotel approaches its 20th anniversary, we find ourselves reflecting on the journey that led us here. With a mixture of pride and nostalgia, we've decided that the time has come for us to pass the baton to a new owner and embark on a new chapter.
"The Tara Hotel holds a special place in our hearts, not just as a business venture, but as a tribute to our beloved daughter Tara, whose memory it honours. It is with a deep sense of gratitude that we extend our thanks to everyone who has supported us over the last 20 years in the hotel and indeed over the last four decades of our journey in the hospitality sector in Killybegs.
To our valued customers, we extend our deepest gratitude for your steadfast support throughout the years. Your loyalty has been the cornerstone of our journey in the hospitality industry.
