Melissa pictured alongside Seamus Coleman when he stopped by to sample a coffee
A fifteen-year-old from Ardara has recently established a coffee cart.
Melissa Boyle, with the help of her father Hugh, has set up a coffee van at Glengesh Pass having only just completed her Junior Cycle exams.
“It’s going great, I love chatting to people and trying out something new,” Melissa told DonegalLive. “At the start, it was a lot but I am getting used to it now and I enjoy it.”
Mel’s Coffee serves speciality coffee and sweet treats with a view, seven days a week.
Recently established on Thursday, May 30, the new business has already received a special visitor when Seamus Coleman stopped by to sample a coffee.
“Seamus is an absolute gem, words can’t describe it, he is such an inspiration and takes time out for everybody,” Painter and Decorator Hugh Boyle told DonegalLive.
The idea came around three months ago when the Boyle’s purchased what was originally Cookie’s Cart situated at the Secret Waterfall in Killybegs. “I invested in the coffee cart to give Melissa a taste of real life and how business works.” As of now, Mel’s Coffee is operating at Glengesh Pass from 9am to 5pm daily.
