An artist's impression of the sports bar at The Thatch Bar & Restaurant
The Thatch Bar & Restaurant on Glenties Main Street are asking for a favour.
They are looking to put sporting feel on their pool room, by having all of the club GAA jerseys of the county on the wall. In return, they will enter each club that provides a jersey into a draw for sponsorship of an underage kit for the year.
"A shoutout to our GAA community,” they posted. “We need a favour! Remember the back pool table room in the Thatch?
"Here’s a preview of what it’s going to look like when we reopen: a bar perfect for watching sports during the day and socialising with friends and family at night. We are looking for a GAA jersey from every GAA club in Donegal to display in our new sports bar. New or old, we don’t mind!! What’s in it for your club? . !
