The Killybegs Marching Band will lead out the official opening of the summer festival on Friday
They're counting down the days to the Killybegs Summer Festival, which gets underway next weekend.
The event will run for three days, starting on Friday, August 9, with the Billy Broderick Memorial Run, with registration at the Bay View Hotel at 5:30pm for the 7pm start.
The Killybegs Marching Band will lead out the official opening followed by the Wolfhound Band on the main stage.
Saturday kicks off with the Monster Fun Day at St Catherine's Vocational School from 11am to 2pm and there will also be beach volleyball at 11am for 16-year-olds and older at Fintra.
In Hughie's Courtyard at 2pm, there's a Fishbox of Stories and Poems by the Sea, with Melly's Mobile Singing Cafe at the Wellbrae Bar from 4pm.
Throughout the day there will be live music on the main stage, with a trad session, accompanied by Irish dancers from the McNelis Cunningham School of Dance at 2pm, The Debonaires at 4pm, Darren Boot from 6pm and then, from 8pm till late, John Doherty and Band.
A busy Sunday gets underway with the Killybegs Walk and Talk from 10am at the Tourist Office - which is free of charge - and at 11am there's the Fun Dog Show at the Festival Stage. At midday at the Shore Road, Gun Club.
Emerald Park will play host to a Sports Day from 12 midday to 2pm, with the Stephen Harvey Memorial Forklift competition at the pier parking area at 2:30pm.
The John Curran Memorial Tug of War os town for 4pm and the Throwing of the Sheaf will follow at 4:30pm. The Car Treasure Hunt begins at the Festival Stage at 5:30pm with the prize-giving at 8:30pm at the Wellbrae Bar.
Music will continue through the evening with the Stinging Rodger's Band at 4pm, Flash Back at 6pm and then at 8pm, Johnny Brady. Mohan's Funfair will be in town all weekend, and there will be more live music at various venues.
