A Donegal man who was tragically killed in Australia earlier this month will be laid to rest in Kilcar this week.

Barry Breslin from Straleel, Kilcar, will be waked at his home in Straleel on Wednesday and Thursday before his funeral will take place on Friday, following his passing having suffered serious head injuries in a workplace accident in Perth.

Barry was a beloved father to his son Tommy. Sadly missed by his loving Fiancée, Melissa, his parents Mary and Seamus, his brothers Owen (Beth and Hazel) and Shane (Gerard), his grandmother, Mary Ann (Byrne), his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, many friends and neighbours.

His remains will repose at his residence (Straleel F94 KO62) on Wednesday, October 23, from 4pm until 10pm and again on Thursday from 12pm until 10pm. Funeral Mass is on Friday at 11am in St Cartha's Church Kilcar, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. The house is private on the morning of the funeral.

"Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Kevin Bell Repatriation trust c/o Mc Cabe Funeral Directors or any family member," Kilcar Funeral Director Raymond McCabe posted. "May his gentle soul rest in peace. Entry via Bogagh where shuttle buses will be available from the old Bogagh Co-Op."
