Rodney Horan (21) had been missing since October 16.
Following the discovery of a man's body in the Cleveragh area of Sligo earlier this evening, the missing person appeal for Rodney Horan, 21 years, has been stood down.
Gardai said: "No further action is required and no further information is available at this time.
"We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this matter."
