A night of glitz and glamour at the Purple Tie Gala Ball in Donegal Town

Despite treacherous road conditions and freezing temperatures around 170 people donned the glitz and the glitter and made their way to the Mill Park in Donegal Town on Friday night to attend Donegal's First Annual Fully Inclusive Purple Tie Gala Ball. 

The MC for the event was the wonderful TV personality and Donegal Person of the Year, Noel Cunningham. 

There was plenty of sparkle, style, glitz and glamour at this event.

Little Jack Gallagher went into a cardiac arrest after choking on spaghetti and his life was saved by an emergency nurse, who underwent a kidney transplant five weeks beforehand. Their story was shared on the Late Late Show

Speaking on behalf of the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation, Tracy Donnelly said there was a great turn-out at the event despite the weather and the evening was a huge success. 

"It was such a great night out. The food was amazing - everything was great. Everyone really enjoyed it," she said. 

People were greeted on arrival by a drinks reception, dinner was then served, a live band took the stage and people danced the night away before the night came to a close with a disco and raffle. 

The Bluestack Special Needs Foundation would like to thank the management at the Mill Park hotel who gave the venue free of charge for the evening and did everything they could to ensure the evening was a success and went as well as it did.
