Plans for over 50 new houses in Inishowen

Plans have been lodged for a major new housing development in Ballyshannon.

Planning permission has been sought for the construction of 48 houses at Portnason, Ballyshannon.

McF Construction Ltd applied for planning permission from Donegal County Council within the last week.

The proposed development would include the construction of 48 dwellings and all associated site works.

This would include connection to the public foul sewer via a proposed on-site pump station and discharge of storm water to existing water course.

Proposed access to the site would be via an existing service road from the R267, West Port Road.

The developer is also proposing a centrally located landscaped amenity area and car parking.

The local authority is due to make a decision by February 23, 2023.
