Great week for Gallagher brothers from Glenswilly on cycling front

Cathal Gallagher . . . . selected on Irish team

It has been a good week for the Gallagher brothers from Glenswilly, winning gold at Portadown and then Cathal being named on the Irish team who will compete in the World Youth Tour in Austria at the end of August.
This is a massive achievement for the young Glenswilly man who is an Errigal Cycling Club rider. The Tour comprises five days racing from the 22nd August to 26th.
The Gallagher brothers travelled to Portadown at the weekend to race in the Ulster Youth Championships. Cathal took gold in U-16 TT and Road Race and Conor took gold in U-14 TT and Road Race.
Cathal had held the Ulster titles for both the TT and Road Race for the past four years since u-12 and this is Conor's second year winning both titles. The two brothers race for Errigal Cycling Club. They are coached by their dad and former irish athlete Charlie Gallagher.
Next big race for them both is Errigal International Youth Tour in Churchill this coming bank holiday weekend where Conor will ride for the Cycling Ireland Youth Academy Team and Cathal will ride for his own club Errigal CC.
