Jim McGuinness
Jim McGuinness's venture into soccer management with Charlotte Independence began with a narrow loss last night against Indy Eleven.
The final scoreline was 3-2 in favour of the visitors but the former Donegal All-Ireland winning manager will be encouraged by the performance of his side and the spirit they showed.
They were two goals down at the break and they conceded a third on 69 minutes, but then staged a great comeback with goals from Dominic Oduro (73) and Andrew Gutman (83) but they were unable to get an equaliser.
Charlotte had 63% of the possession and both sides had 14 shots at goal. McGuinness's side dominated most of the stats apart from the scoreboard.
He will have the chance to put things right on Saturday next as they are back in action on Saturday next against Atlanta United 2
