Thunder warning issued for Donegal

Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for Donegal.

According to the national forecaster, the county could seen thunderstorms bringing frequent lightning, heavy downpours, gusty winds, and a chance of hail. The possible impacts are localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

The status yellow warning remains in place until 11pm on Saturday, June 17. As well as Donegal, it applies to Cavan, Monaghan, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and all of Connacht
