A status Yellow wind warning will be here on Wednesday
Donegal County Council has issued a Moderate Weather Warning for Wind for Donegal for Wednesday after receiving an Alert message from Met Eireann.
They say that west to southwest will be very strong and gusty winds for a period of 12 hours.#
Potential impacts will include the chance of falling branches/trees and loose debris blowing around as well as potential Difficult driving conditions.
The Yellow coded Wind warning will be valid from Wednesday, September 20 at 6am and will continue to 6pm that day.
The warning also extends to Mayo as well as Donegal.
There is also a Status Yellow Rain warning for Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Connacht on Wednesday.
Spells of rain will be heavy and persistent at times giving accumulative totals of 30 to 60mm, locally higher on hills.
The rain will ease off for a time in many parts on Tuesday daytime, before heavy spells of rain return Tuesday evening and night.
Potential impacts could include Localised flooding and Travel disruption
The rain warning is valid from midnight Tuesday (September 19) until 6am on Wednesday September 20.
