Met Éireann say Tuesday in Donegal will be 'mostly dry'

Met Éireann have forecast a dry day for Donegal, with only the occasional shower.

Mist, fog and any patches of frost will clear quickly this morning to leave a mostly dry morning with sunny spells and just the odd shower. The afternoon will see cloud thicken in the Midlands and South with outbreaks of rain developing in southern coastal areas, staying mainly dry in the north-west apart from the odd shower. Highest temperatures will range from 10 to 13 degrees with a moderate southeast breeze developing.

Rain and drizzle will extend across much of the country overnight but parts of the northwest may hold dry. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees with moderate to fresh northeast winds.

A cloudy and damp day for much of the country on Wednesday with outbreaks of rain along with areas of mist and drizzle. Drier and brighter weather will develop for a time in the south and southwest but further outbreaks of rain will move in again during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures generally ranging from 8 to 11 degrees but reaching 12 or 13 degrees in any sunshine in the south. Winds will be mostly moderate in strength, north or northwest in direction.
