Met Éireann have issued a status yellow thunderstorm weather warning for Donegal this afternoon.
Heavy downpours with thunderstorms and hail are forecast, with potential impacts including spot flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility.
The warning comes into effect from 2pm today, Monday, till 9pm tonight. The thunderstorm warning is in place for Cavan, Donegal, Connacht and Longford.
The warning for east Donegal, bordering Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry is said to be missing the worst, but where thunderstorms occur, they could bring travel disruption and surface water flooding.
