Mist, sun, cloud and then showers is the Thursday forecast for Donegal

Any mist patches in Donegal will clear early today to leave a mix of cloud and sunny spells, Met Éirean say.

It will become mostly cloudy by the afternoon with showery rain developing. Showery outbreaks of rain will then clear eastwards through the evening as brighter and fresher weather follows from the Atlantic. Highest temperatures generally ranging from 20 to 22 degrees with moderate southerly breezes increasing strong along the Atlantic seaboard, cooler near the coast.

Dry for a time tonight and feeling cooler with clear spells. However, showery outbreaks of rain will spread from the Atlantic later in the night. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in fresh and gusty southwest winds.

Fresh and breezy on Thursday with showery rain spreading eastwards. Some bright or sunny spells developing in parts in the evening. Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees in fresh and gusty southwest to west winds.
