Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for snow and ice in Donegal ahead of a drop in temperatures in the coming days.
The forecaster is warning of possible snowfall accumulations on Monday evening and overnight.
The snowfall could bring poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
The warning, which has also been issued for Cavan and Leitrim, will be in place from 7pm on Monday to 8am on Tuesday.
Forecast for Monday
Met Éireann says Monday will start off mainly dry. Rain is expected in late morning and afternoon and will be heavy at times.
Rain will turn to sleet or snow in parts of the province. Highest temperatures will be between 3 and 6 degrees with light to moderate easterly winds.

Monday night will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow with accumulations possible, especially on high ground. It will become dry by the morning with lowest temperatures of -1 to 2 degrees with moderate east to northeast winds.
