New weather warning for snow and ice issued for Donegal

Met Éireann says the weather could bring hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility

Met Éireann has issued a new status yellow weather warning for Donegal.

The warning for  snow and ice for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo is valid from 11 am on Monday until 9am on Tuesday.

Issued on Monday morning, the warning is for wintry showers with sleet and some snow accumulations as well as sharp frost and ice.

The forecaster says the weather could bring hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.

Met Éireann says Monday is to be cold with highest temperatures of only 1 to 6 degrees which will drop to as low as -2 overnight.
