Cloudy with patchy drizzle and mist to clear in Donegal, making for sunny spells

Generally cloudy with patchy drizzle and mist at first today, Wednesday, in Donegal.

Rain in the northwest will move southeastwards through the morning, with sunny spells and scattered showers following. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees, becoming cooler after the rain, with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds veering northwesterly and easing.

Dry for most tonight, with long clear spells. Cloud will start to build from the west towards morning. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees with frost and ice forming. Patches of mist and fog will also develop in light variable breezes.

A chilly and mostly cloudy start tomorrow. Outbreaks of rain will move into the west in the morning, and become widespread through the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees, with moderate, occasionally fresh, southerly winds.
