Rubbish dumped in scenic area

Rubbish that could have been easily disposed of at a recycling centre was dumped in one of the most scenic areas of west Donegal over the course of the bank holiday weekend, an independent councillor has said. 

Councillor Michael McClafferty arranged for the rubbish which was dumped at the Muckish grotto outside Falcarragh to be properly disposed of in a skip in a recycling centre near by.

He said: "Falcarragh tidy Towns people do great work as do many voluntary groups in all our towns and villages around the county. Try and respect these hard working groups the next time your planning to dump. Get a skip or bin like the rest of us have to do."
