It is envisaged that the helicopter will be operational again by the next scheduled flight on September 14.

The helicopter that was scheduled to fly a Nurse and GP to Tory Island on Thursday, August 31, has been grounded due to essential maintenance work.

Unfortunately there is currently no second helicopter available to do this run. 

The HSE is putting interim measures in place.

It is envisaged that the helicopter will be operational again by the next scheduled flight on September 14.

The HSE wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
