TG4’s drama series Ros na Rún returns to TV screens on Tuesday, September 5 at 8.30pm and promises to be a nail-biting season. The return will see Donegal actors take centre stage with the potential wipe out of the Daly family as John Joe Daly’s house is on fire and he and two of his sons are inside as the fire rages. The question on everyone’s lips will be - are there any survivors or are the Daly men wiped out?
The Daly men include Gaoth Dobhair actors Colm Mac Giolla Easbuic and Gavin Ó Fearraigh and their father, actor Niall Mac Eamharcaigh, from Rann na Feirste. The hugely popular Irish Language drama series which is Ireland’s only rural-based TV drama will yet again delight its loyal audience with plenty of great story lines, from the Daly family being on the verge of extinction to dirty Garda Diana literally taking Mack by the hand and leading him to confess to a crime he has committed.
The series is now in its twenty-eighth season. Familiar and long established characters, Michael, Caitriona and of course Tadhg have plenty to delight their loyal fans in this season. New characters Ché played by Dara Madden will certainly bring much entertainment to screens as will his on-screen father Sonny played by Pádraig Breathnach.
