Colm plays a central role in Ros na Rún which is now in its twenty-eighth season

Gaoth Dobhair actor and presenter, Colm Mac Giolla Easpuic, is to take centre stage in the line-up for Ros na Rún's exclusive culture night next Friday with a question and answers session. 

The young actor has also been nominated for Réalt óg na bliana ag Gradaim Cumarsáide an Oireachtais. Colm has a lot of experience in acting having starred in many dramas at Amharclann Ghaoth Dobhair. He also works with Raidió na Gaeltachta. 

Anyone who would like to cast their vote for Colm in the upcoming Oireachtas event can do so by texting GRADAM1 to 51500. 

This weekend, TG4’s long-running drama series Ros na Rún will open it’s set as part of its first ever participation in Culture Night on Friday, September 22 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Fans of Ireland’s only rural based drama series Ros na Rún, now in its twenty-eighth season with TG4, along with Culture Night fans will be treated to an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the largest independent artistic production outside of Dublin which is also the only working TV production set on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The TV production employs 180 people and is sponsored by XL Ireland and is a co-production between Independent Production Companies Danú Media in Connemara and Tyrone Productions in Dublin.

The exclusive tour of the Ros na Rún production set will culminate in a Questions and Answers Session which will be hosted in the famous Tigh Thaidhg will be hosted by Raidio Pobail Ros na Rún’s  aspiring manager Caitriona Ní Loideáin, played by long established actor Máire Éilís Ní Fhlatharta and she will be joined by actors includinh Pól Ó Gríofa who plays the now very troubled Mack. 

Ciara Cox, who plays Maeve in Ros na Rún, and who played the lead character in the new series Saol Ella, will also feature on the panel.  Maeve is also nominated in the Young Stars for the forthcoming Gradam Cumarsáid 2023. The panel will also feature Máirín Uí Eidhin head of the scripting department at Ros na Rún. In addition Marion Ní Loingsigh Series Producer will also feature.
