The Three Marys' appearance at Maghery Senior Social Club postponed until next week

The Three Marys, who have won the hearts of thousands through their online singing, have postponed their launch until next week.

The launch was due to take place today, Tuesday, at the Maghery Senior Social Club at 11.30am. However, the frosty weather means the event will now take place next Tuesday.

“Good morning, unfortunately we have no transport today due to the frost and we have to cancel the cd launch to next Tuesday, December 12,” they said.

The fabulous CD also includes bonus songs from both International singing stars Daniel O’Donnell and Margo.

The CD is in aid of the Maghery Senior Social Club. Many events take place at the club and music definitely comes to the fore for those at the club where Mary Rodgers takes care of all those who attend the day centre.

There is a wonderful choice of songs on the CD: “We have Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, Mary from Dungloe, Save the Last Dance For me and we have Eileen McGee Ferry singing Gleanntáin Ghlás Ghaoth Dobhair and many more,” Mary Rodgers said.

Despite the fact that the women have become a huge online success - the three women take it in their stride and enjoy the process.

“We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We enjoy the craic - without a doubt, we have great fun,” Mary Rodgers said.

Pleanáil Teanga na Rosann financially supported the production of the CD, Mary O Brien from Pleanáil Teanga na Rosann said they were delighted to support the project as it ensures the wonderful songs are passed on from generation to generation.
