Séimi Ó Dubhthaigh and Séamus Rodgers

Séimi Ó Dubhthaigh will go before the Labour Party selection this week, ahead of the local elections in June.

“I feel both honoured and privileged to be asked by Séamus Rodgers to take over from him in this year’s local election in the Glenties Electoral Area,” Ó Dubhthaigh posted.

“I have the big boots of this political and community giant to fill, a mighty task, but I’m ready and willing to carry on his socialist legacy. Next Tuesday evening at 7.30pm in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties, I will go before the Labour Party selection convention to be officially selected. This meeting is open to the general public.”
