The Cope Dungloe have paid tribute to two of their longest-serving staff members.

The popular store congratulated Lisa McGee on her 30 years, as well as Brendan McGee, who started just a year later in 1995.

“We were delighted to acknowledge Lisa's 30 years of service with the Cope,” they posted on Thursday. “Lisa started with the Cope when she was only 16 years of age and always greets everyone with a happy and cheerful disposition. Thank you Lisa for all that you have done and all that do for us on Cope Street.

“Brendan McGee also celebrated 29 years of service with the Cope earlier this week. Brendan is arguing that he has more service than Lisa but has been unable to provide any evidence to back this claim up, so Brendan was also acknowledged today for his commitment to the Cope. Congratulations to you both, you are a great testament to our community co-operative.”
