Events to remember the late Mícheál Roycee Roarty will take place in Dunlewey tomorrow

The late Mícheál Roycee Roarty will be remembered tomorrow in Dunlewey with a football match and unveiling of a memorial bench.

The local football club, Dunlewey Celtic, will run their annual fundraiser in aid of the Donegal Branch of the Irish Kidney Association in memory of their great friend, and former player - a match which kicks off at Glentornan Park at 3pm.

To date, almost €15,000 has been raised in Mícheál's memory for this very worthy cause which has a place close to the heart of his family. You can donate here.

There will also be an unveiling of a memorial bench in memory of Mícheál in Dunlewey at 5:30pm. Mícheal was part of the winning GAA All-Ireland Vocational Schools team in 2011.

"Please join us in remembering our great friend and teammate Mícheál tomorrow after the football game in Dunlewey," event organisers said. "Spread the word and share this so that we can gather as many people as we can!"

Mícheál died in a road traffic accident along with friends John Harley, Shaun Harkin and Daniel Scott at Gleannhulaigh near Magheraroarty on January 27, 2019.
