Fr. Pat Ward - on behalf of St Columba's Church, Acres - accepts the funraiding cheque from the Noreen McGarvey tribute night
The presentation of cheques from a tribute night held in memory of the late Noreen McGarvey in Burtonport was made last week.
The variety concert for the late councillor last month was organised by her Burtonport Variety Group in conjunction with the Burtonport Festival Committee.
Cheques of €1,275 each were presented to Fr. Pat Ward, PP to help fund the new projector in Acres Church and to John Boyle (D), on behalf of Gemma's Legacy of Hope.

These were among the projects worked hard for and both Fr Pat and John returned sincere thanks. Variety Group directors Mary McGee and Margaret Reilly were present along with members of each group, along with the McGarvey family and members of the Burtonport Festival Committee, to present the cheques. Funds from the halftime draw on the night go towards St Columba's Community Centre and we thank all those involved on the night.
