The general public have access to the hall where the windows were smashed

An act of alleged vandalism saw several stained glass Church windows smashed on Inishbofin Island.

The incident of criminal damage occurred at the Community Hall on Inishbofin Island, Meenlaragh, Gortahork between 3pm on Saturday, August 17, and midday on Monday, August 19. 

The windows were in storage at that location were smashed between those times and the general public have access to the hall. 

“As this is a very recent incident, we ask residents in that area to recall if they observed any suspicious activity around the hall between those dates and if they can offer any relevant information to please contact Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060,” Garda Grainne Doherty said.
